46,000 Odyssey minivans in the U.S. will be recalled by Honda because the rear doors can fall on people unexpectedly, and have on at least two occasions. The vehicles affected are the minivans from the 2008 and 2009 model years that have power lift gates. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, gas can leak out of the struts that support the lift gates. Additionally, the doors could close unexpectedly, increasing the risk of injuries.

450,426 Minivans and SUVs Recalled By Ford

This week, Ford stated that it will be recalling nearly 500,000 minivans and SUV’s due to a pair of mechanical issues. 205,896 Freestar and Mercury Montery minivans made during the 2004 and 2005 model years will be recalled because their torque converter output shaft may fail and cause a loss of power. Also included in the recall is 244,530 Escape SUVs made during the 2001 and 2002 model years, because of a leaky brake fluid cap. If the fluid leaks, it could corrode electrical connectors and lead to a fire. Owners will be informed and the parts will be replaced for free.

Car Accident. You hear those words and a lot of images come to mind. But what about when you hear the words “bus accident?” Was it a school bus or chartered bus? How did this happen? Are the children and others okay? Was there something wrong with this bus? Why are there no seat belts on some buses, especially school buses? Since 2000, there have been over 1,200 motor vehicle traffic accidents involving school transportation vehicles according to the U.S. Department of Transportation National Traffic Safety Administration, Traffic Safety Facts, 2009 Data. Bus accident, especially those involving young school children, are horrible to hear about.
