Trucking company and truck driver negligence are major contributing factors in many traffic fatalities nationwide.  Often the trucking company places unreasonable demands on their drivers, knowing the drivers will drive too many hours and the public will be put at risk. Sometimes the companies ignore basic safety regulations or disable safety devices. It is simply appalling that many trucking companies put profit over people.
